What I learned on my wellness journeyšŸ’ŖšŸ»

If you had a chance to read my last blog (novel šŸ˜†) you know that the last year and a half has been a long and successful journey into better health for me. I finally have relief from vestibular migraines, fibromyalgia & chronic pain. Iā€™m happy to say Iā€™m doing much better now and wanted to share a bit about what I learned along the way!Ā

The whole experience has been WILD but I am thankful for every step. Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve learned:

ā‡ļø Prayer works. Thank you to everyone who was praying for me. So many times doors opened that shouldnā€™t have and I know itā€™s because I needed answers so I could move on to the next avenue. I wasnā€™t expecting a miracle or healing, I just wanted to know what was happening so I could manage the symptoms better. I believe that I got my miracle anyways thanks to those who were praying for what I didnā€™t even have the energy to consider.Ā

ā‡ļø Iā€™m so thankful to have access to so many specialists but the medical system is extremely broken. They are trained to medicate and refer and move on. Very few doctors listened to me and didnā€™t just look at the test results

ā‡ļø If you donā€™t research yourself and know what to ask for, youā€™re not getting anywhere. I literally had to start telling them what I wanted to get anywhere.

ā‡ļø No one is going to help you navigate anything. Have questions? Google is your best bet. Also, donā€™t google anything unless you want to convince yourself youā€™re dying.

ā‡ļø Advocate for yourself. If you know something isnā€™t right, keep pushing. Medical staff donā€™t have time to care about your situation, they are so under resourced & over regulated.Ā

ā‡ļø It takes a village. I couldnā€™t have kept perusing this if I didnā€™t have the people around me who watched my kids and made meals and prayed. Seriously. How someone goes through things like this without a village, Iā€™ll never know!

šŸ’Ÿ Know your limits and know when to ask for help! Itā€™s ok to say no and bow out when a situation no longer works for you! šŸ’ŸREST! Is more important than I ever realized.

Iā€™m always open to a conversation about healing, especially if it helps someone grow and healā£ļø

Until next time, Shine onāœØ
